The Tokat Institute was founded on a simple but powerful idea: the Islamic intellectual tradition remains one of humanity’s greatest repositories of wisdom, and access to its finest scholarship should not be confined by geography, institutional affiliation, or circumstance.
We do not produce content. We cultivate knowledge and understanding. Our courses are taught live by internationally renowned scholars whose work is shaping the future of Islamic studies through original research, publication, and academic leadership.
The Tokat Certificate is awarded to students who complete six qualifying courses and a 5,000-word faculty-reviewed paper within the academic year. One of the few programmes of its kind outside a university.
